Spanning one of the busiest and most dangerous waterways in the country, Humber Rescue is a UK independent lifeboat charity protecting over 525 square kilometers of water across East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire. This volunteer ran charity operates 365 days a year from the boathouse beneath the Humber Bridge. With rapid launch capability and top speeds of up to 45 knots, they respond within minutes, covering this vast stretch of water where strong tides, shifting mudbanks, and heavy shipping traffic create constant risk. Humber Rescue provides essential lifeboat cover where itโ€™s needed most. As a UK independent lifeboat, we are not part of the RNLI and rely solely on public support to keep our boats running and our crew rescue-ready.
